A Culture Of Safety
At Sealaska Constructors, safety is our core value and integral to our company structure. The health and welfare of our employees, subcontractors, and the public deserves our first consideration and continuous focus on improvement in jobsite safety practices and construction quality. This is our TOP GOAL!
As a general contractor performing difficult projects; our employees and subcontractors encounter a wide range of health and safety hazards in the direct line of work on a daily basis. From excavation and confined space to fall protection and erection hazards; our employees and subcontractors are provided with project orientation meetings and specialized training to conduct operations in a safe and effective manner with a focus on achieving high quality standards for all projects. This culture of safety begins with Executive Management and continues with employees at every level. Making safety a priority and meeting our goal of sending all employees and subcontractors home safely at the end of each shift, is a philosophy that yields higher productivity, lower costs, and better morale. There is no substitute for safety at Sealaska Constructors.
Our Safety Committee, comprised of upper and middle management as well as field personnel, which is dedicated to ensuring employees have the awareness, resources, tools and attitudes to follow safe work practices. Our employees work from a comprehensive safety training program – including an online database for safety training topics and tools. This online tool allows our employees to directly access in-house and third party safety program support and resources at any time, from any place, any time. In addition to regular project safety meetings and training, employees receive monthly and quarterly health and safety education.
With experience performing high-hazard projects for a wide range of public and private clients, Sealaska Constructors has the ability to meet our client’s specific safety requirements on any project.
